Favorite Drink - Lemon Water

Like I said in a previous post, I really want to feel my best and be very healthy this year. My plan is work out regularly and also focus on my diet. 
You can really work out as much as you want but if you continue to consume greasy and sugary beverages and foods you won't see any results. And most importantly, you won't feel better. 70% of what your body looks like is determined by your diet. 
Transitioning to a healthier lifestyle is definitely not easy and will take some time. Seeing that I started this process quite a while ago I decided to share some of my tips to make this a lot easier for you. 

Let's start off with water:
I'm sure you all know that drinking enough water is super important and has many health benefits. It will help clearing up your skin, energize your muscles and it can even help to control calories. I drink a lot of water during the day and it makes me feel great!

Since my body doesn't quite appreciate caffeine I was looking for a drink that will wake me up and keep me energized for the whole morning. About a year ago I started drinking lemon water every morning. Usually I squeeze the juice of half a lemon into a cup filled with water. If the lemon is organic I will then throw the whole thing in there for extra flavor. In the summer I will add in some ice cubes and during the colder months I like to heat up the water and sweeten the drink with some honey.

Drinking lemon water will improve your digestion, energize you in the morning and will boost your vitamin C level. This can also help with your skin and overall well-being. 
Switching from Coffee, Hot Chocolate or Tea to Lemon Water is such an easy change to your diet and I promise it will make you feel so much better. Just drink one cup every morning before breakfast  and you will feel more energized very soon.

  2. I used to always drink lemon water in the morning but for some reason I've just switched to plain water now, I should definitely try going back though because as you said there are a tonne of benefits.

  3. I switch back and forth between hot lemon water & apple cider vinegar mixed with water. One of the dishes I make frequently for breakfast calls for the juice of an entire lemon, so on the days I eat that I skip the lemon water.

    But I still, almost always, have my coffee as well lol. It's a hard thing to give up!

  5. I go with plain water and green tea. In the summer I usually do infused waters, but throughout the colder months I prefer herbal infusion.

  6. I used to be really good at drinking water however I broke that habit and have been struggling ever since. I love infusing my water, it seems to be the only way I can really motivate myself to drink it and I have to drink it because it is so important for the body, especially the skin. Mine has lost its luminosity because of it

  8. I've cut down on caffeine consumption a lot, but I still have my one cup in the mornings. I also do the lukewarm water with some lemon sometimes when I need an extra kick and want to focus on the "inside out" glow. It's a good way to start the day!
