48 Hours in New York

Long Time No Blog...

Welcome back to the blog! It's been quite a while since I last uploaded a post here. The last months have been filled with work, uni and travelling a ton.
If you follow me on Instagram you might have seen that I actually moved back home to Berlin at the beginning of the month to start my last year at university.
Before I start blogging about my life in Berlin, I thought I'll share the photos and stories of trips I've been on during the summer.
I'll start with a little weekend trip to New York that Josh and I went on in August. As you might know, I moved from Manhattan to Boston in the spring and hadn't been back to the city since. We were only there for about 48 hours but we made it to all my favorite places and had a great weekend.
The first day, we walked from our hotel in the Garment District all the way to SoHo, got a delicious Magnum ice cream, and then continued on to NoLIta and China Town. Originally, we planned to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, but it was just too hot and humid. So, we decided to take it easy and went for dinner at Dos Caminos in the Meatpacking District.
On Sunday, we checked out of the hotel and took the subway to DUMBO in Brooklyn, where I used to work. This is by far my favorite place in the city. I love the old warehouses, little cafes and the view of Manhattan is just breathtaking. After taking a ton of photos we went to the village and had lunch at Bluestone Lane cafe. And what would a walk through the village be, if I didn't pick up some delicious take out from By Chloe?? I was so happy to eat that burger on the drive back to Boston later that afternoon :)

I hope you guys enjoyed this little post about my trip to New York. Let me know where you want to travel to next? I've been thinking Scandinavia.. But I feel like it'll be way too cold there now :)

  21. Great photos. It sounded like a really nice trip. I heard it was unbearably hot. The weather is similar to Toronto since it's only about 50 mins flight north of New York, and I went back for a visit and it was sweltering hot! This makes me miss New York though. I usually go a few times a year and I haven't been back this year yet. :) Thanks for sharing!

  22. How exciting, a whirlwind trip to New York! The simplicity of the apartment blocks is enough to make me want to fly over there (for some reason, haha) and I love your striped dress - you're beautiful :)

  24. I still can't get over this great place I recently visited! This isn't only a good place. It is also one of the best around here. There isn't a listing of the unique offerings, although there should be! This venue Houston TX was magnificent!
